Resource Flows Data

Exploring global financial flows for population activities

This site is under construction.

The Resource Flows (RF) project was established in 1997 and is a joint collaboration between The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute (NIDI).  The aim of the project is to monitor global financial flows for population activities in response to the ICPD Programme of Action (1994) and the Declaration of Commitment set at the UNGASS on HIV/AIDS (2001).

The RF project collects data on international population assistance and domestic expenditures for population activities in developing countries. In 2011 UNFPA requested the NIDI to make the collected data available to the public by developing the Resource Flows Data website.

This websites makes it possible to explore the Resource Flows data through tables, graphs and geographical maps. You can also subscribe (for free) after which you can download data or set up a remote data connection to the Resource Flows database using statistical packages like STATA, SPSS or R. Subscribing also gives you access to the E-Forum, and will keep you informed on data updates, new features and troubleshooting.
